Cardi B & Beyonce May Be Collaborating on a New Song

Cardi B performs onstage during TIDAL X: Brooklyn at Barclays Center of Brooklyn on Oct. 17, 2017 in New York City.

The road to Cardi B's debut album has been smeared with setbacks, as well as huge feats for the rising star, and she might have another accomplishment to add to her already growing resume: a Beyonce feature. According to a snapshot of Michael Ashby's -- Cardi's engineer -- Instagram story, the two artists may have a collaboration in the works.

Ashby, the engineer behind Cardi's hit "Bodak Yellow," shared a photo of a mix titled "Cardi B & Beyonce" and wrote 'Wow this feature is big" over the image. Ashby didn't reveal whether the track is a loosie, or might possibly land on the Bronx rapper's forthcoming album.

Cardi and Beyonce previously met at Made in America festival earlier in September. After meeting Beyonce, Cardi said that she was surprised the "Formation" singer liked her music, and was speechless when they officially met. Miss Tina Lawson, Beyonce's mother, also greeted Cardi backstage at the festival.

Over the weekend, the Bronx rapper was kicked out of an Albany hotel and claimed that it was for no specific reason. In a series of videos posted to her social media, she explained, "The floor that I was staying in in my hotel room, it smelled like weed. So the cops came in the middle of the night, knocking on my manager and on my door, talking about that we were smoking weed and we gotta get kicked out."

She noted that she doesn't smoke because she becomes "very paranoid," and assured fans that no one in her camp smokes. "If they was to kick us out for something else, all right, but for weed? I’m not taking that, because we do not smoke," she continued. "I could get -- we could all get drug-tested. Nobody smokes. Nobody smokes, especially when I’m sleeping and I’m wild sick."
