Paging DC Comics: Get Eiza González on your radar.
Soon, but not soon enough, our favorite lady antiheroes of the DC Comics universe will be teaming up in the upcoming film, Gotham City Sirens.
DC Comics
With a still TBD release date, the movie will serve as a sequel of sorts to Suicide Squad, following the hijinks of Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Catwoman.
Since the film's announcement, comic fans have been buzzing with rumors on casting — especially when it comes to the feline femme fatale herself...
DC Comics
That is: Catwoman, or Selina Kyle in the DC Comics universe. So far, the only cast member confirmed is Margot Robbie, who will be reprising her role as Harley Quinn.
And there's one name in particular that keeps coming up as a favorite Catwoman pick: Eiza González.

The 27-year-old actress and singer has starred in a series of Mexican TV shows and films, and recently started taking on roles in the U.S.
You probably know her as Darling, from this year's breakout hit Baby Driver.
Sony Pictures
González was the Bonnie to Jon Hamm's Clyde in the crime thriller.
Aaaand, you might even have caught her as Jetta, from the 2015 movie Jem and the Holograms.
P.S. Yep, that's Kesha in the green hair. Both were cast as members of Jem's rival band, The Misfits.
The rumors started heating up when Suicide Squad director and future director of Gotham City Sirens, David Ayer, started following González on Twitter.
This Reddit post also pointed out that González had just gotten a very Selina Kyle-esque haircut, too.
Now, I'm no rocket scientist, BUUUUUUT — paging all the ladies and gentleman of DC Comics — I hereby make my case for casting Eiza González as Catwoman.
1. FIRST OF ALL: there's that definite physical resemblance.

Honestly, she's already just one catsuit away from vaulting off a comic book page.
2. We already know she's a perfect badass on screen.
Sony Pictures
Her Bonnie & Clyde bit in Baby Driver was just simply 😘👌 impeccable.
3. Yet, she still has a huge range, as her fans from Latin America already know.
In Mexican TV and film, González has played everything from a diabolical vampire to lovestruck ballet dancer.
4. She's already an action hero in the making.
Sony Pictures
Please see ^^this double machine gun scene from Baby Driver for details.
5. She's already mastered that femme fatale vibe...
You know, that look when you aren't sure if she's about to kill you or seduce you? That one.
6. And looks amazing in black leather. Here's Exhibit A...
**waves generally at entire photo, whispering "goals"**
7. And Exhibit B:

Selina is that you???
8. She's clearly good with animals.
Okay, maybe not a crucial requirement for the role, but good to know.
9. She's clearly willing to do anything to get into character.

Very important, since Anne Hathaway and Michelle Pfeiffer, who've both played Catwoman previously, have talked about how insane just putting on the costume is.
10. And there's already a passionate fandom rooting for a Catwoman González.
Now that that's settled, anyone know how we can send out an official ~cat~ signal on all this?
