The Eagles have made a disastrous start to the season, failing to earn a point or even score in their first seven Premier League games.
Frank de Boer was sacked after leading Palace to fourth successive defeats and former England manager Hodgson has so far been unable to stem the tide.
The South Londoners’ have missed Zaha since the opening day of the season but he returned to training last week after recovering from his knee injury.

“Back with a ball at my feet, no better feeling  #CPFC ” He tweeted.

And the 24-year-old winger is now hoping to declare himself fit for Saturday’s clash with reigning champions Chelsea, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Zaha took to social media on Tuesday to provide Palace fans with an update on his fitness but it remains to be seen whether Hodgson will risk his star man this weekend.

While Palace are desperately searching for their first point of a miserable campaign, Chelsea will hope to bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Manchester City prior to the international break. The 1-0 loss at Stamford Bridge ensured Chelsea fell six points adrift of the two Manchester clubs at the top of the table.
