Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has revealed that he is open to a Premier League move in the future following his side’s 3-3 draw against Chelsea on Wednesday.
The Blues threw away a two-goal lead and trailed 3-2 midway through the second half before Eden Hazard rescued a point with 15 minutes to go.
Antonio Conte recently hailed Nainggolan as “one of the best midfielders” around after admitting that Chelsea failed to sign the Belgium international with Roma’s asking price understood to have been too high.
When asked by reporters if he was pleased to have played at Stamford Bridge, Nainggolan said: “Yeah, good atmosphere.
“Thank you [to Conte] for the words, but at the end of the day we’re playing against each other and I have to do my job.
“I think he’s a really good coach because his results over the past few years speak for themselves.
“But in the end I have to do what I have to do, and that’s playing for Roma and giving the maximum for Roma.”
The midfielder was asked if he would consider playing in the Premier League in the future and he continued by saying: “Yeah, it’s a good league.
“Beautiful stadiums, good atmospheres in the stadiums, but at the moment my head is only there [at Roma].”
