The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been hoping that the international break has allowed Jurgen Klopp to sort out some of the many issues currently dogging his side.
Indeed, the Reds cannot defend, nor can they finish many of their vast array of high-quality chances. Not exactly the ideal cocktail.
So, life amongst our local Kopites is rather frustrating right now. Which is why reports from the Daily Mail have provided at least a small flicker of optimism today.
They claim the club have opted to send Adam Lallana to a rehab centre over in Qatar as the midfielder looks to finally get over a thigh injury that has so far wrecked his season. The England international picked up the injury while training in early August, though is thought to be edging closer to a first-team return.
That’s great news for club and country and, in order to freshen up the player’s routine, the Reds have reportedly opted to send him to Qatar as he ramps up his return from injury.
As you can imagine, this news has gone down very well amongst our resident Reds, such is the importance of the 29-year-old.
Landlord’s Verdict:
Lallana provides so much in the way of balance for both club and country, so his return will be huge on both fronts. There’s no doubt that Liverpool will improve with his presence and he’ll want to be at his best to get ready for the World Cup with England.
