Why I'm not happy with Chelsea after Roma draw

Eden Hazard was not happy that Chelsea were unable to keep their lead against Roma on Wednesday night

Eden Hazard was not pleased to see Chelsea end up having to settle for a point after their 3-3 draw with Roma in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The west London side were 2-0 up thanks to goals from Hazard and David Luiz but the visitors battled back into the game and led 3-2 in the second half.

Thankfully for the Blues, Hazard popped up to score a late equaliser and earn Chelsea a point, preserving their unbeaten record in the Champions League this season.

But the Belgian admitted that he was not happy about the way Chelsea had to fight back to earn a point after having been in control early on.

Speaking to BT Sport right after the game, Hazard said: “It is a good result for both teams but when you are 2-0 up at home you must win the game.

“Edin Dzeko is a fantastic striker and we stay first in the group.

“Now we have to play in Rome but we will try to win the game. After two defeats it’s not easy to bounce back.”

Chelsea will now look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League when they take on Watford at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

The west London side have been in stuttering form in recent weeks, with the Blues having lost their last two games in the Premier League to leave them fifth in the table and nine points behind Manchester City.

The Blues suffered a shock 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park last weekend.
