Bruno Mars sweeps American Music Awards with seven wins

Bruno Mars, American pop artiste, was the biggest winner at the 2017 American Music Awards.

Mars, who had eight nominations, won in seven categories.

Nick Jonas, Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, Selena Gomez, Florida Georgia Line and Shawn Mendes are some of the artists who performed at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The event was hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross who honoured her mother, Diana Ross, with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
