Controversy reigned in the main event at Survivor Series
Triple H led Team Raw to a Survivor Series victory in a hugely controversial finish to the decisive men’s elimination match.
Raw were in control of the contest with a three-on-one advantage with only Shane McMahon left on the SmackDown side.
The blue team’s captain fended off interference from Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, who earlier in the show spoke about McMahon’s “insane vendetta” against them.
It appeared as though Kurt Angle would force McMahon to tap to his Ankle Lock but Triple H broke up the submission attempt and gave Angle a Pedigree before draping Shane’s arm over him for an elimination.
It appeared Triple H would side with Shane against Braun Strowman but instead he also gave him a Pedigree and pinned him for the victory.
A clearly confused Strowman then confronted Triple H, who attempted to give him a Pedigree of his own but instead was caught twice for a running powerslam.
Brock Lesnar appeared to be injured after his match against AJ Styles
The team scores had been 4-4 going into the final match after Brock Lesnar won a superb match against AJ Styles.
Styles absorbed a lot of early punishment but eventually took control of the contest and had The Beast in a precarious position when he locked in his Calf Crusher in the centre of the ring.
But Lesnar recovered from that and caught Styles - as he attempted a second Phenomenal Forearm - before stunning him with an F5 and getting the pin.
The Shield defeated The New Day in an excellent opening Survivor Series match
The event started with one of its most hotly-anticipated matches and it did not disappoint, with The Shield beating The New Day in an all-action encounter.
It was a largely even contest but The Hounds of Justice picked up the win after a triple powerbomb on Kofi Kingston from the second rope.
Asuka was the sole survivor in the women's elimination match
The Raw women eased their team into a 2-0 advantage with a victory over their SmackDown counterparts in which Asuka produced the strongest performance.
A string of eliminations left her in a two-against-one situation but she overcame both Tamina and Natalya to pick up the victory for her brand and maintain her unbeaten run.
Baron Corbin had the last laugh in his match against The Miz
SmackDown retaliated with a win for Baron Corbin over The Miz, secured when the Lone Wolf nailed Miz with an End of Days after attempted interference from Bo Dallas.
Corbin afterwards told Miz: “My hand went up, and your mouth went shut.”
In a pulsating match, The Usos bested The Bar after a double superkick on Cesaro following by a splash off the top rope.

The match was another which lived up to the pre-match hype with all four competitors producing strong displays.
Alexa Bliss had arguably the best match of her career in her champion-against-champion loss to Charlotte.
The SmackDown title holder saw off her Raw counterpart with her trademark Figure Eight just five days after beating Natalya for the belt.
