Alvaro Morata and Romelu Lukaku can’t compete with this Premier star

According to Thierry Henry and Martin Keown , prolific Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is in a different league to Romelu Lukaku, Alvaro Morata and Harry Kane.

Aguero has taken the Premier League by storm since joining City in 2011, scoring a staggering 128 goals in 187 games.

The Argentine, who has seven goals in seven appearances this season, became the top-scoring non-European player in the competition’s history earlier in the month.

Arsenal legend Keown was full of praise for fellow strikers Lukaku, Morata and Kane but said Aguero has ‘taken his game to another level’.

‘Sergio Aguero would be the toughest opponent of these four strikers,’ the former England defender told the Daily Mail.

‘He drifts past defenders as if they are not there. He is icy cool, looks certain to score every time he is through on goal and is capable of spectacular strikes.

‘Romelu Lukaku is immensely powerful but if you can match his pace and power you can bring him under control.

‘Harry Kane is intelligent, dogged in the challenge and deceptively quick. His right boot is a thunderbolt so you must close him down quickly.

‘Alvaro Morata has good movement and is benefiting from the chances supplied by this creative Chelsea team. To stop him, you need to cut off his supply line.

‘But to get the better of Aguero is a different challenge altogether. Already one of the best, he has taken his game to another level.’

Aguero is currently the joint top goalscorer in the top-flight alongside Chelsea summer signing Morata and United star Lukaku.

After failing to score in September, Kante has quickly made up ground on the leaders and has four goals in his last four games.

Henry, who himself bagged 175 goals in the top-flight, believes Aguero is the only Premier League striker who can claim to be genuinely ‘world-class’ right now.

‘The closest guy to being world-class is Aguero because of the longevity,’ the France legend told Sky Sports on MondayNight Football.

‘He won the league here and he’s just been doing it the longest. The other three, they will be [world-class] but they’re not yet.

‘Lukaku just arrived at Man United. Morata has played for big clubs but mainly came off the bench at Real Madrid.

‘He’s trying to make Chelsea his team. Lukaku is trying to make Man United his team. With Kane, this is his team but we don’t know about him in Europe yet.’
