The rift between Edinson Cavani and Neymar is far from over according to fresh reports credited to football portal, El Pais.
It is understood that the Uruguayan and record-signing Neymar clearly don't see eye to eye after their recent rift over
penalty
and free-kick taking responsibilities unfolded, but it seems their first exchanges weren't much better.
According to El Pais, Cavani certainly made a shocking first impression on the Brazilian forward.
'And who is this? Do you think you're (Lionel) Messi?' the striker reportedly asked when Neymar first entered the dressing room.
Whether Cavani was joking or was intending insult upon the new arrival – for £198million – remains to be seen, but while Neymar was seemingly attempting a leap of faith out of the shadow of his former Barcelona team-mate, he probably didn't take it too well.
