Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed who caused their loss against Tottenham in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Ronaldo who said he was not worried about his lack of goals this season, blamed referee Cüneyt Çakır for allowing Tottenham’s second goal which he said was offside.

Ronaldo said he is convinced Real Madrid will soon turn things around. Ronaldo had five shots on goal against Tottenham in their Champions League game on Wednesday but scored once in Real Madrid’s 3-1 loss at Wembley.

The Portugal captain who was voted the Best FIFA Men’s Player for a second year running last month, has scored just once in his last three games and has failed to score more than one goal in a match since Sept. 26.

He told Cadena Cope, “I think the result didn’t show what we did on the pitch. Tottenham’s first goal was offside and at Girona their second goal was also offside.

“These are things that we cannot control but what we can is our attitude and our fighting spirit and that wasn’t lacking in either game.

“I’m super calm about my goals. It seems you are not interested in good performances but rather about goals and only numbers count. But if you Google ‘Cristiano goals,’ you see all of mine there.

“The important thing is the end result and not the beginning. The fans have to be patient and confident. We admit that we are not playing as we should. But I don’t see the team so badly; we have to be calm and confident. We know we are in a bad spell but things change.

“Of course it’s bad because we lost and we are accustomed to winning. It’s a bad spell and we want to change and I’m certain that we will. We still have a lot of time to improve and I’m convinced we will.
